Just a quick post this morning. Over the weekend, we made the Renaissance Revit book page live. You can visit it here. The book is in the final proofing stage and as soon as I have received the final proofs from the print house and approved them, the book goes live! It will be available on CreateSpace right away. There will be two editions of this book: one color, and one black and white. The difference between the two is ONLY in the printing. The black and white edition is the standard edition where all of the images are printed in grayscale. The color edition preserves all of the color and prints ALL images in color.
You may be wondering why two editions? Well, if I had my preference, there would be only one edition and it would be the color edition. The color just makes all of the images really pop. Also, CreateSpace (the service I use for printing) uses nicer paper on the color editions. However, the down side is cost. The color edition costs considerably more than the BW. So, if you are OK with grayscale images, then the BW edition is the way to go and costs $42.95. The Color edition is $98.95. If you can justify this extra cost, I think you will like the image quality much better. But yes, it’s expensive. My apologies for that. If you follow the link above, I do have a discount code on the book page that gives 20% off each edition. So that will help a little.
Just to be clear. The two editions are IDENTICAL in all ways EXCEPT the image color. It is the same table of contents, same text, same steps, same dataset. Just a difference in printing.
I will post additional details throughout the week. So until then, thank you for considering Renaissance Revit!
